自博士起一直從事熱電材料及器件相關技術研究,2020年以“百人計劃”入職威廉希爾WilliamHill官方網站料學院,并入選中組部海外高層次人才計劃青年項目。

留美期間,作為主要骨干參與美國能源部多項重要科研項目,包括(與麻省理工學院、橡樹嶺實驗室、加州理工學院、密蘇里大學、休斯敦大學等)多校聯合項目“Solid State Solar Thermal Energy Conversion Center (S3TEC)”優化開發高性能Zintl能源材料。留日期間,主持日本學術振興會項目,參與與法國國家科學院研究中心及日本企業多方面合作,致力探索熱電材料更廣泛的市場應用前景。近些年來取得的相關研究成果有:在n型Mg3Sb2基Zintl熱電材料中1)實現了電和聲的協同調控,有效改善低溫部分性能;2)揭示缺陷工程中散射機制改變問題;3)揭示n型Zintl相具備高性能的關鍵科學問題。在相應的p型Zintl中1)研究開發了新型高性能無毒無污染Bi基熱電材料突破了p型Zintl發展的停滯不前;2)運用全方位聲子散射降低晶格熱導率,提升熱電性能;3)優化合成方法,制備了高質量且性能優異的塊體材料,以及開發新型高性能熱電材料GeTe和室溫MgAgSb熱電材料體系等。

至今在國際權威期刊上發表論文40余篇,其中包括第一作者論文16篇:PNAS 2 篇,Energy Environ. Sci. 1篇,J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1篇,Nano Energy 2 篇,Small 1篇, J. Mater. Chem. A 1篇,Acta Mater. 1篇,Appl. Phys. Lett. 1篇等。授權美國發明專利1項,以第一作者身份撰寫兩本英文學術專著章節《Advanced Thermoelectrics: Materials, Contacts, Devices, and Systems》, 《Novel Thermoelectric Materials and Device Design Concepts》。
